Designing a First Nations icon.
The Australian Women’s & Gender Studies Association came to us to create a unique First Nations acknowledgement symbol which they could use on collateral and at events showing their respect and acknowledgement of Australia First Peoples.
As a national peak body representing researchers, academics and students of Women’s & Gender Studies in Australia it was impornat for them to ensure that they pay respect and acknowledgement of Australia First Peoples through such a symbol.
We began the process of understand who they were as an organisations and as a National body it was important to draw design elements from the diversity of Country and peoples.

We acknowledge the pivotal role that our people continue to play within our communities and our younger generations who will lead us forward.
