We started out with a concept of a design that would fit into the branding style of the organisation yet show the importance of growth for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people into the health sector.
Our initial concepts were well received by the client and we continued to develop the artwork which was symbolic of the increased activation of Indigenous representation and participation.
The centrepiece of the image is a stylised icon which represents a knowledge tree which has Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people at the centre of the decision making process of Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
This centrepiece has been designed to be a main element which can be used by Australia School of Rural and Remote Medicine working in an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander space. Intended to be an element which can be used as an organisational Indigenous branding.
The outer shell of the is representative of a healing tree which depicts the knowledge share and education of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. At the background of the artwork is the community and the elements of growth symbolised through seedpods.
The theme of the artwork through the layout stages of their Reconciliation Action Plan which was formulated to give a very impactful Indigenous element to the Australian School of Rural and Remote Medicine.
