Based in Weipa in Far North Queensland NQCEC doesn't deal with creative they deal with dirt and building infrastructure in one of Australia's most isolated regions, but they wanted to tell their story. That where we come in.
We began creating something that would connect to communities throughout the region and important showcase the great work NQCEC are doing with Indigenous and local engagement. The first step for us was to assess what they already had and not to pull it all down but rather enhance it and fill it with a story.
Like always we build the website with mobile first thinking and then injected with some great images.
The next step was to find some of the stories and great people that work NQCEC, and we found theme easy. Really great characters that are so proud of the work they do, the region and NQCEC it became easy to tell their story.
Doing the video interviews we discovered an overarching common keyline that people were talking about. The simple fact of how proud people were of NQCEC and that they were building bridges to opportunities and a future was a great statement. So that along with the great images that we took become an impactful imagery with the tagline 'Locally Proud, Locally Strong' and 'Building roads to a better future'. Enough said.
We then got to working on there SEO and social media campaigns and boom. NQCEC's website and social media engagement has seen a rise of upward of 67% since the first post. What we have done has sure it the spot with locals and improved connection to a broader audience through our analysis Google Analytics.
NQCEC didn't know how to tell their story but through our engagement and knowledge of the region and the sector we are helping them get into a bigger and better space and clearly they see the ROI on engaging us at a local level to bring their stories to life.
